Terms of use

The short version

• You must be 18 or older.
• The app suggests. You decide. Nobody has to drink.
• Packs are one-time purchases made at Apple — no subscription, no renewal.
• Refunds and restores go through Apple and your Apple Account.

What VORS is

VORS is a drinking-game app for iPhone, made and run by Apperio AS, company no. 930 990 337, Fjerdingen 17, 3050 Mjøndalen. Four games are free, with room for six in the crew. The rest unlock with one-time purchases. There are no accounts, no subscriptions and no ads.

The game content is in Norwegian.

Age limit

VORS is about alcohol and is only for people aged 18 or over. If you are under 18, do not use the app. If you hand your phone around, it is on you that everyone playing is over 18 too.

Drink responsibly

The app is entertainment, not an instruction. A card that says “drink” is a suggestion inside a game — nobody in the crew is obliged to do anything, and anyone can say no without explaining. Swapping the sip for water is always allowed.

Look after each other: let nobody drink themselves ill, do not pressure anyone, make room for the people who are not drinking, and do not drive. You use the app at your own risk and are responsible for how you and your crew drink.

The content of the games

The cards are written for adults and can be blunt. The levels exist precisely so you can pick the tone yourself — choose a lower level if the crew is mixed.

House rules you write are your own responsibility: they must be legal, and everyone playing must be up for them. House rules you write yourself stay on the phone and are never sent to us.

Purchases

The packs are sold by Apple, not by us. The purchase is made in the App Store and is also governed by Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and Apple’s standard licensed application end user licence agreement. Apple is not a party to the agreement between you and Apperio AS, but may enforce it against you.

All three are one-time, non-consumable purchases tied to your Apple Account. They do not renew, do not expire and need no cancelling. If you already own one pack, the rest is offered at the difference, so you never pay twice for the same thing.

The price shown in the app is always Apple’s price in your storefront and currency, taxes included. Prices can change; a purchase you have already made is unaffected.

Restoring purchases

Packs follow your Apple Account, not the phone. New phone, reinstalled app or another device with the same Apple Account: tap “Gjenopprett kjøp” (Restore purchases) on the packs page or in the fine print of the purchase sheet. We cannot restore purchases for you — it has to be done with the Apple Account that paid.

Refunds and right of withdrawal

The purchase was made at Apple, and Apple handles refunds: reportaproblem.apple.com. We have no way to refund a payment we never received.

Digital content is delivered immediately, so the right of withdrawal normally lapses once delivery has started. Your mandatory consumer rights under Norwegian law apply regardless — if a pack does not work as promised, write to us.

Rights and use

VORS — the name, the logo, the mascot, the design and every card text — belongs to Apperio AS. You get a personal, non-exclusive right to use the app privately.

• Do not copy, publish or sell the content of the games.
• Do not decompile the app or try to bypass purchases.
• Commercial use — bars, events, streaming it as a format — needs an agreement with us. Ask, and we will sort it out.

Availability and changes to the app

We may add, change and remove games, cards and house rules. The content ships inside the app, so VORS works offline; the network is only used to refresh the decks and to buy packs. We do not promise uninterrupted service, and a service we depend on can be down.

Packs you have bought stay available for as long as the app is distributed and your device is supported.

Liability

Apperio AS is not liable for harm, loss, discomfort or health consequences arising from how the app is used or misused, or from how much anyone chooses to drink. Our liability is limited to what you actually paid for the app.

That limit does not apply to intent or gross negligence, or where mandatory law says otherwise. As a consumer you keep every right consumer legislation gives you.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms as the app changes. The date at the top shows the last edit, and we announce significant changes here on this page and in the app’s release notes. Continuing to use VORS afterwards means the new terms apply.

Governing law and disputes

Norwegian law applies. If we disagree, we try to sort it out over email first. As a consumer you can take the matter to the Norwegian Consumer Authority (Forbrukertilsynet) or to the court where you live.
